OdiseIA is proud to be part of the launch of the Communities of Practice for Promoting Equality in the Digital Environment (COPID) project, whose launch event will take place on 11 October 2024 at the Auditorium of Fundación ONCE, in Madrid. This project seeks to promote equal rights in the digital environment, an area that requires urgent attention to ensure that all people, regardless of their abilities, have the same opportunities and access.
The agreement signed between Red.es, Fundación ONCE, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and OdiseIA seeks to promote the implementation of the Charter of Digital Rights in the area of equal rights in the digital environment. Its aim is to guarantee equal access to technologies, non-discrimination and the elimination of digital divides, focusing on issues such as universal accessibility and training in digital skills. OdiseIA, as part of the agreement, works to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence in this context.
The COPID project is articulated around the thematic axes set out in the Charter of Digital Rights related to equality. These axes include the right to equality and non-discrimination in the digital environment, the right of access to the internet, the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, universal accessibility in the digital environment, and access gaps in the digital environment. In each of these areas, communities of experts are being developed to work on concrete proposals, both legislative and non-legislative, to promote these rights.
OdiseIA is actively participating in this effort, contributing its expertise in the ethical use of artificial intelligence applied to each of the different areas. During the event, Fabián García Pastor will participate in the official presentation of the project, as well as in the presentation of the axis on the right of access to the internet. Likewise, Maite Sanz de Galdeano will participate in the presentation of the axes dedicated to the rights to equality and non-discrimination and the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, while Patricia Llaque Gálvez will participate in the area related to the access gaps to the digital environment.
This event is a unique opportunity to discuss how to build an inclusive and accessible digital environment, ensuring that technology and artificial intelligence tools do not create barriers, but rather drive equality.
The format of the event will be hybrid, allowing participation both in person and via streaming. For more information and to register, go to the following link: REGISTER HERE.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the change towards a fairer and more inclusive digital environment!
