OdiseIA launches new project with support from Google.org
March 1, 2024 - March 1, 2026
OdiseIA is launching a new project with support from Google.org, Google’s philanthropy. This initiative is part of Google.org's Digital Futures Project, a $20 million fund dedicated to supporting researchers, facilitating discussions, and encouraging the development of responsible AI policy solutions.
OdiseIA's project focuses on three key areas:
1) Investigate AI governance initiatives, such as regulations and recommendations, focusing attention on vulnerable groups, the society, and exploring AI opportunities for their benefit.

2) Analyze the future award in the context of AI with an emphasis on how it will affect employment and skills, paying special attention to vulnerable groups, through research, events, and education.

3) Foster pan-European collaboration between European recipients of the Digital Futures Project sharing knowledge and thought leadership through discussions, publications and events.
Communities of Practice for Promoting Equality in the Digital Environment (COPID)
October 1, 2024 -
October 1, 2026
OdiseIA is proud to be part of the Communities of Practice to Promote Equality in the Digital Environment (COPID) project, a collaborative initiative together with Fundación ONCE and the Gregorio Peces-Barba Institute of the Carlos III University of Madrid, in collaboration with Red.es. This pioneering project seeks to promote the application of the Spanish Digital Rights Charter, focusing on ensuring that equality rights are respected and developed in the digital environment. Through this joint effort, we work to build a more inclusive and equitable environment for all.
COPID's approach is based on the creation of five Communities of Practice (CoP), each dedicated to a key right related to digital equality, such as the right to equality and non-discrimination in the digital environment, the right of access to the internet, the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, universal accessibility in the digital environment, and access gaps in the digital environment. These communities, made up of experts and organisations representing stakeholders, allow knowledge to be shared, generate new ideas and develop concrete recommendations to drive both legislative and non-legislative changes. At OdiseIA, we believe in the power of collaborative work and experience sharing to address today's digital equality challenges.
Our participation in COPID reinforces our commitment to ethical and responsible artificial intelligence, focused on improving people's quality of life. We invite all stakeholders to join this initiative and contribute to the advancement of digital rights. Together, we can build a digital society that not only respects equality, but also actively promotes it, ensuring that no one is excluded from the benefits of the digital environment.
SEDIA ethical certification
September 22, 2023 - December 1, 2025
OdiseIA, in collaboration with Deloitte, is developing an ethical AI certification for the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in the form of a voluntary trust seal to ensure that the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms by companies and public bodies is ethical, robust and reliable.

This project includes the execution of an AI regulatory sandbox in Spain to gain practical experience with the European AI Act before its entry into force in 2026. The work involves monitoring and evaluating companies, and creating detailed guides based on the sandbox feedback.
